Music with the Moravians

The Strathcona String Quartet performs Worlds at War April 10, 2pm, at the Edmonton Moravian Church (9540-83 Avenue), the second concert in the Music With the Moravians Spring 2010 Concert Series. Admission is by donation and a reception follows the concert.

The Music With the Moravians Concert Series is a unique Edmonton cultural experience. Top Edmonton musicians in a wide variety of genres perform short, informal afternoon concerts, including an audience Q & A session, followed by a reception where the audience meets the artists face to face.

The Strathcona String Quartet will perform Shostakovich’s String Quartet #8, Borodin’s Nocturne, and Edmonton composer Dave Wall’s Wakish2. This concert will be a thrilling experience, featuring some of the most darkly dramatic music in the string quartet repertoire.
